Time Clock App

Attendance that starts when your team logs in. Goalz.Work records the start of each scheduled shift, flags late arrivals with a reason and keeps a login history your managers can review.

What is a time clock app?

A time clock app is a digital way to record when employees start work, replacing paper registers and punch clocks. In Goalz.Work there is no separate button to press: the employee's first login of the shift day is their clock-in. It is recorded against the shift on the roster, late arrivals are flagged and explained, and the time they then spend on tasks is tracked with task timers - so attendance and working time come from the same system.

Key features

Attendance recorded where the work happens.

Login is the clock-in
The first login of the shift day records the shift start against the employee's scheduled shift, including night shifts that cross midnight.
Late-arrival reasons
If the login is later than the shift start plus your allowed buffer, it is flagged as late and the employee is asked for a reason.
Half-day prompt
A login well past the shift start can prompt the employee to record a half day instead.
Login logs
A login history per employee with date, time, IP address and approximate city, filterable by year and month.
New-device verification
A login from an unrecognised browser or a new city is confirmed by email, with optional two-factor authentication.
Unplanned absence
A working day with no login is recorded as unplanned leave, and the employee is asked for a reason on their next login.
Shift attendance

Every day, against the shift that was planned.

Each employee's daily detail shows the shift they were scheduled for, when the shift started and when they logged in, next to the hours they worked. Managers see the same view for their team.

Scheduled shift and shift-in time per day
Late logins flagged against the allowed buffer
Hours for the day alongside attendance
Late arrivals

A reason on record, not a conversation later.

When someone logs in after the allowed buffer, Goalz.Work asks for the reason straight away. It is stored with the attendance record, so the manager reviewing the day has the context in front of them.

Buffer before a login counts as late is configurable
Reason captured at the moment of login
Daily compliance check against login, late entry and working hours
Login history

Who logged in, when, and from where.

Admins can review a login history for every employee with the IP address and an approximate city worked out from it. A login from a new browser or a new city triggers an email confirmation before access is granted.
