What is the difference between shift planning and employee scheduling?

Employee scheduling is the broader job of organising working time; shift planning is the part that arranges shifts and assigns people to them.

How far ahead can I plan?

You can build a roster for a whole month or a custom period of up to three months at a time.

Can I plan night shifts?

Yes. A shift whose end time is earlier than its start time is treated as a night shift, and attendance at login handles shifts that cross midnight.

Can shift planning work with time tracking?

Yes. The roster sets the planned shift; attendance is recorded at login and hours are tracked on tasks, so plan and actual sit side by side.

Who can edit the roster?

Access follows your roles: admins can plan every team, team leads their own teams, and editing is only available to users with permission.

Can employees swap shifts themselves?

Not at the moment. Shifts are planned and changed by managers in the roster.
