Employee Time Tracking Software
Track time where the work is. Employees run a timer on the task in front of them, and managers see hours by task, project and person - next to the estimate.
What is employee time tracking software?
Employee time tracking software records how much time employees spend working, in a central system rather than on paper or in spreadsheets. Goalz.Work tracks time at the level of the task: an employee starts, pauses and stops a timer on the task they are working on, and every session is kept in the task's worklog. Those hours roll up to projects, sit next to the task's estimate and feed productivity reports - so time is always connected to the work it was spent on.
Time tracked on the task, not in a separate tool.
One click to start, and the time lands on the right task.
The timer lives on the task itself, on the task page and the task board. Starting it records a session; pausing or stopping it saves the duration to the worklog. Finishing the task stops the timer and marks the employee's part complete.
Hours logged today, against the shift.
Employees can see what they have logged today, task by task, against the hours of the shift they are scheduled for. It turns the day's plan into a simple target without anyone filling in a form.
See where the time is running over.
Tracked hours are compared with each task's estimate. The sprint summary shows assigned against logged hours per developer and flags tasks that have crossed their estimate, so overruns are visible while there is still time to act.
How employee time tracking works in Goalz.Work
- 1
Employees record time on tasks
Start the timer on the task being worked on; pause or stop it when done.
- 2
Time is centralised
Each session is stored in the task's worklog, not in a spreadsheet.
- 3
Time is tied to the work
Hours roll up from tasks to projects and people automatically.
- 4
Managers review
Estimate vs actual, logged-today views and the sprint summary show where time went.
- 5
Hours feed other processes
Approved hours flow into productivity and project reports.
